Extract data from existing data stores and performing ad-hoc queries

· Mine data to arrive at specific and crucial information for the organization

· Develop and execute departmental data for performance and response purposes

· Participate in the design, coding, and implementation of new production and data storage systems

· Identify and implement processing, data, and reporting improvements for the organization

· Work with large and complex databases containing millions to billions of records

· Improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness

· Working environment is very fluid, priorities shift constantly

· Usually working on 3-5 projects which may last anywhere from 2-12 weeks on average

Required Competences:

· 3 to 5+ years of data analyst experience including but not limited to academia, consulting, financial services or information technology industries

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

· Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams

· Experience with “best coding practices”

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with good written communication skills required
