Automart.com, a division of Cox AutoTrader, seeks a successful individual for entry to mid-level position in database programming, data manipulation, and file management. Initially the candidate will be asked to handle day-to-day database requests in order to learn and understand the business.

Responsibilities



This position will:



Code and unit test PL/SQL scripts for loading data feeds.

Provide statistics/reports to the business.

Create and maintain data imports and exports.

Create and maintain appropriate documentation.

Troubleshoot data inventory issues

Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements.

The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing the company databases. The role will require a strong technical background and experience in managing and administrating Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure. The individual will have a deep understanding of Implementing data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. The candidate will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the security, integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with other IT staff, vendors, partners and other stakeholders to gain understanding of systems, processes and issues related to business initiatives and impact on databases.

• Plan, design and develop databases to satisfy business needs

• Develop ETL processes to manage data collection process from multiple sites and/or multiple data sources/databases using DTS and SSIS packages

• Install/configure new SQL Server Databases. Maintain existing databases. Manage and coordinate upgrades/migration of databases including patches and service packs.

• Set up and manage replication services using merge replication

• Assist with the debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures

• Determine, implement, and manage database backup and recovery strategies

• Establish/maintain a test/lab environment for production databases

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to cross train, and work in a team environment
